A former Belmont Park bartender filed a major lawsuit exposing what may be a pattern of wage theft and labor violations affecting the entire staff.
According to the complaint filed in San Diego Superior Court, park operators are accused of:
• Shorting workers on overtime
• Skipping required breaks
• Failing to pay for all hours worked
• Delaying final paychecks
• And issuing pay stubs that leave out critical information
The lawsuit was filed under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, which allows workers to sue on behalf of the state and their coworkers for violations of labor law. If these claims are true, Belmont Park may owe thousands — or more — to current and former employees.

Or we could go with retaliation like when someone reports an HR issue you don't agree with transfering them to a location you know they don't wanna go to so they be quiet. Breaks are a joke in a make believe idea of what other people do in another world. They refuse to allow you to schedule correctly, which causes the needs for temps who you don't know and cost between 30-40 an hour. Inefficient in every way. Inventory is an exercise in futility where you write numbers down so they can claim whatever they feel like claiming and pretend it came from somewhere. Rodent problems are though of as "unavoidable" and when you have them they simply try to seal the rodents into the wall instead of dealing with the problem. Weird that they keep reappearing, or that you can hear them scampering above you? As fun as Mission Beach is, the parking is ridiculously unreasonable. They often opt for using any lot they could for employees to a paid model to once again make money. That is the ONLY thing they care about. They do not care about culture. Any suggestion is met with a "kock it down the road and get through today" approach and we all know nothing happens when you don't address issues. It is the definition of a toxic work environment in every way imaginable.
